This is a newly created position to support Life Flight’s rapid growth and expansion.
POSITION SUMMARY: The Aviation Maintenance Manager implements standard maintenance practices which comply with OSF Aviation guidelines and well as regulatory and accreditation compliance practices.
Manages and oversees the day to day operations and maintenance requirements of all OSF Aviation aircrafts.
Effectively manages the human resources aspects of the Aviation Maintenance team.
Collaborates with the Aviation Director of Maintenance to manage the strategic plan, annual goals, and policies and procedures related to OSF Aviation.
Qualifications: REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Education: High School Diploma/ GED Experience: 5 years of experience as an Aircraft Maintenance Technician Licensure/ Certification: FAA Airframe and Powerplant license.
FAA Inspection Authorization license.
Other Skills/ Knowledge: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented.
Demonstrates organizational skills in order to coordinate services with coworkers and other departments and services.
Is able to responds to stressful situations in a calm and rational manner.
Ability to understand equipment operating and servicing instructions and to maintain records of work performed and inventory, and to read and interpret manuals, and specifications in order to repair and maintain items.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Aviation Maintenance or related field Experience: 3 years’ experience on BK 117 aircraft.
Factory training on airframe and engine for an Airbus BK117 C-2 or D3 aircraft.
3 years' experience in an EMS helicopter operation.
