Position Description:
The Lead Guest Room Attendant is responsible for training Guest Room Attendants, delegating work assignments, inspecting guest rooms, and serving as a support to GRAs.
Responsible for ensuring that guest rooms are cleaned in accordance with company and departmental standards.
Job Functions
The Lead Guest Room Attendant will ensure the security of guest rooms and their contents.
Establish and delegate work assignments to Guest Room Attendants.
The Lead Guest Room Attendant will train and coach Guest Room Attendants on the proper methods and standards expected in cleaning guest rooms.
Perform inspections of rooms to ensure that company and departmental standards are consistently met.
The Lead Guest Room Attendant will update room status and complete requisite departmental paperwork.
Notify housekeeping office of any repairs needed in guest rooms.
The Lead Guest Room Attendant will handle guest requests quickly and efficiently.
Other duties as assigned by management.
Position Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Six (6) months of experience in a similar position preferred.
Must have excellent customer service and communication skills.
Must be able to stand and walk for majority of shift.
Must be able to perform all duties of a Guest Room Attendant which include, but are not limited to: being able to push or pull supply cart weighing approximately 200 pounds, lifting up to 30 pounds, kneeling, reaching, stooping, bending, scrubbing, sweeping, vacuuming, and dusting.
Knowledgeable in the proper use of chemicals used in cleaning guest rooms beneficial.
Must be able to obtain/maintain any necessary certifications and/or licenses.
