Serve as the point-person for the clinic coding staff: accountable for directing, supporting, monitoring, and coordinating coding and abstracting processes for all professional and clinical services.
Reviews clinical documentation and diagnostic results as appropriate to extract data and apply appropriate ICD-10 codes, CPT and HCPCs codes for billing and reimbursement, internal and external reporting, research, and regulatory requirements.
This position reports to the Director of Clinic Business Office.
Coding Certification required (CPC, CMC, CCA, CCS-P)
Associate’s degree or equivalent training acquired through five to seven years of coding experience in a physician setting
