Kaskaskia Engineering Group, LLC (KEG) is seeking a Team Lead for our Traffic Engineering Service line.
This position would report directly to the Vice President of Preliminary Engineering and Studies and will directly oversee and guide a team of traffic engineers and planners.
Ideal candidates will have at least 15 years of experience in traffic and transportation engineering, design, planning, and studies in Illinois, Indiana, Missouri, and/or Minnesota.
Experience in Ohio and/or Kentucky are a plus.
*Requirements* * Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering required * PE certification required * PTOE, RSP, or other relevant certifications are preferred * Possess a minimum 15 years of experience in traffic engineering and multi-modal analysis * Familiarity with common industry software applications, such as OpenRoads Designer (ORD), AutoCAD, AutoTurn, HCS 2010, Synchro Studios, Miovision Scout, Jamar Traffic Counter, and Nu-Metrics HI-STAR * Highly experienced with roadway planning, design, and construction management; including traffic control, operational and safety analysis, and related communication systems * Excellent project management skills * Experience with developing scopes, budgets, and schedules for infrastructure and transportation improvements * Experience in team management is preferred * Valid U.

Driver’s License is required *Responsibilities* * Manage and mentor traffic team members and provide ongoing continuing education and support * Fully manage and guide contractual responsibilities for the Traffic Team * Work among a multidisciplinary team in project management and oversight * Develop scope, schedules, and budgets for traffic-related projects * Attend industry and organizational events and assist in business development efforts for your discipline * Manage and lead the preparation of technical reports for state, federal, and local agencies * Perform QA/QC over all technical deliverables * Oversee traffic analyses to support infrastructure improvement projects, including but not limited to traffic impact studies and reports, intersection design, corridor modeling, traffic counts, traffic design (signals, signing/marking, ITS, and lighting), travel demand modeling, traffic management plans, PS&E packages, etc.
* Provide preliminary and ongoing support for transportation planning and engineering efforts and corridor studies * Work with local, state, and federal agencies and DOTs to ensure proper documentation and reporting *Benefits & Flexibility* * Flex time throughout the week.
