Description: 2nd Shift Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 12:30-9:00PM This position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility.
Assists in all aspects of membership for the organization including recruitment of new members, retention of existing members and supervision of assigned staff.
Develops, plans, and implements new procedures and methods to achieve strategic goals within the Membership department.
Requirements: 1.
Assists in creating a member-focused culture and models relationship-building skills in all interactions.
Fosters a climate of innovation and resolves problems to ensure member satisfaction.
2.
Recruits, hires, trains, develops, schedules, and directs personnel in the membership department.
Reviews and evaluates staff performance.
Develops strategies to motivate staff and achieve goals.
3.
Promotes program and membership enrollment in interactions with existing and potential members.
Coordinates program registration, including logistics to support phone, walk-in and web registration.
Coordinates with marketing efforts to maximize enrollment.
4.
Ensures proper implementation of front desk procedures.
Reviews and updates desk procedures and communicates changes to staff.
Coordinates with the Member Experience Director and Director of Accounting as necessary on financial transactions.
5.
Assists with regularly running membership reports, including reciprocity reports, to ensure that trends are being noted and our numbers are accurately documented.
6.
Audits membership files for accuracy.
7.
Works designated number of hours at the front desk in the evenings, while helping in the administration of the member experience department.
8.
Participates in staff meetings and/or related meetings.
9.
Willing to have a Flexible work schedule with evening and weekend requirements.
10.
Supports and engages in annual campaign efforts including special events and community engagement events.
11.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Associate degree in related field preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Previous supervisory experience in customer service.
3.
YMCA or other non-profit experience.
4.
Excellent personal computer skills 5.
Experience with membership software Daxko Operations.
6.
Highly attentive to detail 7.
Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community.
8.
CPR and First Aid certifications may be required.
