Description The Commercial Manager position in OEM Solutions is an exciting opportunity to be part of a growing, entrepreneurial group within the broader Caterpillar enterprise.
The Commercial Manager is responsible to deliver the overall growth objectives through leadership of a team of 6-7 Account Managers located throughout the world as well as NPI and marketing roles (total team of 9-11 management positions) to grow the OEM solutions portfolio.
The incumbent will also be a key member of the OEM Solutions leadership team and help craft and execute the growth strategy for entrance into new markets and/or products.
Job Duties include but are not limited to: Accountable to deliver top line sales ABP and strong contributor towards overall business profit Manage OEM Solutions Sales Funnel Management process and supporting tools (e.
g.
Salesforce) Maintain and develop pricing strategies for components and partial machines Work with account managers to maintain and enhance key OEM customer relationships Manage business strategy development and execution Support marketing capability within the OEMS team Co-lead OEM Solutions NPI process in partnership with Engineering and OTD teams Collaborate with ICS AMO teams to market new Cat aftermarket solutions into the OEM space Coordinate/support regular leadership business reviews and enhance relationships with key MBD partners Lead monthly S&OP cycle and provide all commercial input/forecast to help assure product availability Manage IP and commercial contract creation / update process in partnership with Cat legal Oversee relevant go-to-market compliance processes Basic Qualifications College or university degree or equivalent experience Twelve or more years of progressively responsible job-related experience Significant experience working directly with external customers Intimate knowledge of order-to-delivery sales processes Solid understanding of export controls and regulations Previous supervisory experience Top Candidates will also have Master’s Degree Previous OEM Solutions experience Previous sales leadership experience Mining and aggregates industry understanding Strong understanding and experience working with dealers Strong understanding of Caterpillar’s IP and Commercial contract processes Previous experience with MACH1 Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to influence others both inside and external to the organization Additional Information The location for this position is Mossville, IL.
Domestic relocation assistance is available for this position.
This position may require 30-50% travel.
