We are looking for a dynamic, organized self-starter to join our Product Support and Logistics Division as a Project Manager / Lean 6 Sigma Black Belt.
The Product Support and Logistics Division (PSLD) is one of the most innovative divisions within Caterpillar.
In PSLD, as within all of Caterpillar, our priority is our customers and helping them build a better world.
We touch nearly every element of the services value stream from procurement to design and manufacturing to distribution.
PSLD is responsible for Aftermarket Parts Distribution of Cat Parts, Integrated Logistics, segment Procurement and the design and manufacture of Wear Components (Undercarriage and GET) and Maintenance Components (Seals, Tubes & Hardware, Hose & Couplings, Fluids and Filters).

As a Project Manager / Lean 6 Sigma Black Belt at Caterpillar, you will assure the facility is running at peak performance.
Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: Manages all facility Black Belt functions/initiatives and reports to the Facility Manager Lean champion and lead of lean implementation for the business Leads, manages, and supports projects related to process and product improvements using Lean, Six Sigma and project management methodologies to achieve business goals Training and teaching Lean, Six Sigma and project management skill sets to the organization Basic Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of progressively responsible quality, manufacturing engineering, project management or operations experience In lieu of a degree, 5+ years of progressively responsible quality, manufacturing engineering, project management or operations experience Technical understanding of the manufacturing and quality processes Desired Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing or engineering.
General understanding of the Caterpillar organization, products, policies, and procedures Business management skills, plus CPS processes and tools knowledge 2+ years of relevant supervisory/management experience Experience implementing Lean in a manufacturing environment Relevant maintenance experience Relevant Precision Seal manufacturing experience Additional Information: This position is located in Mapleton, IL and may provide domestic relocation Final Details Please frequently check the email associated with your application, including the junk/spam folder, as this is the primary correspondence method.
