For multiple entities, handle various aspects of check writing and ledger, general ledger, billing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, budgeting and other reporting functions.
Reconcile accounts.
Work directly with management.
Assess bookkeeping clients’ status and needs
Enter source documents in QuickBooks software
Pays bills
Makes deposits
Maintains appropriate financial files
Communicate with client staff
Process payroll using QuickBooks
Supports completion of client tax returns
Other duties as assigned
*Office Manager *
The Office Manager is responsible for the effective administration of the business.
This person must be able to work independently in a relaxed atmosphere and enjoy a small company environment and demonstrate initiative.
Should be eager, enthusiastic, able to manage tight deadlines, have a positive attitude, able to work effectively as part of a team, is able to prioritize and manage rapid change, possess good oral and written communication skills, is organized and punctual.
Establish and implement procedures and operational policies for efficient office administration
Prepare customer invoices and statements, process cash receipts, record payments and reconcile accounts
Maintain office schedule and workload.
Track project progress from opening to completion.
Receive invoices, interact with vendors, record disbursement and prepare checks
Drafts financial and/or other reports as needed
Maintain corporate files (electronic, paper, other) and client data files
Answers incoming telephone calls, determines purpose of callers, routes to appropriate individual or takes messages.
Ensures clients, vendors, and employees are handled in a professional and courteous manner.
Receives, sorts, and routes mail and packages
Orders office supplies.
Create and print client correspondence, invoices, and other documents when necessary
Other duties as assigned
*Qualifications: *
High School Diploma with appropriate computer courses thereafter.
Must have an excellent knowledge of computer operations including the following programs:
Microsoft Word Microsoft Outlook
QuickBooks Internet Explorer
Microsoft Excel Ability to learn tax software
A demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing
Knowledge of the techniques of receiving callers, making appointments, giving information, and explaining instructions and guidelines
Knowledge of the organization and maintenance of filing systems related to the work
Ability to follow complex instructions
Job Types: Part-time, Full-time, Temporary, Internship, Contract
Pay: $15.
00 - $18.
00 per hour
