Here at Quantem Aviation Services (QAS), we are a contractor who handles the loading and unloading of our customer's aircraft.
We marshal the planes in, set them up, unload/reload, wrap-up, and send them out.
QAS offers a full range of high-quality aviation services including ground handling, passenger services, aircraft cleaning, cargo warehousing, cargo aircraft handling and GSE maintenance.
We work in all outdoor elements, SNOW, RAIN, HEAT, WIND, and whatever else Mother Nature deems necessary for the season.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Ensures all QAS and customer safety standards are met and maintained Maintain a safe working environment for subordinates Lead operations to organize the base in a manner free of a hazardous situation As directed by the General Manager and/or Operations Supervisor, provide training for base employees Work with the General Manager/Operations Supervisor to maintain Quantem Customer Service standards Track and trace cargo, alert customers of new regulations, flight schedules, weight restrictions, and flight delays.
Inform them of billing, suggest preferred routings, and assist with loading/unloading cargo Ensure that all flights that Quantem loads and/or unloads operate on time Respond to customer inquiries and requests in a timely manner Properly and safely loads and unloads freight.
Including build up and break down of cargo pallets and freight containers following guidelines Protects freight from elements, damage, and vandalism Holds equipment certifications and operates equipment safely.
Must successfully complete all training classes Obtains proper security documents for all shipments Verifies upon receipt from customer shipment pieces, weight, dimensions, and airworthiness.

Intermediate computer skills PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; speak clearly and hear efficiently Employees must regularly lift and/or move up to, in excess of 25/55 pounds Employees must have the ability to climb 15-foot heights for work Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus **Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without requiring sponsorship for employment visa status, now or in the future.
