is seeking two dedicated Program Managers to spearhead supply chain and source strategy design for our Earthmoving Product Group.
As a pivotal member of our team, you’ll take charge of implementing Supply Resiliency methodologies across our Earthmoving Product Groups, collaborating closely with Earthmoving Product Groups, Supplier Management, Supply Chain & Operations, and Facility Organizations.
Your primary focus will be on delivering process capabilities that drive world class availability and allow us to meet our customer expectations.
This position is a non-supervisory leadership position for our global teams and incumbent must have proven leadership qualities.
What You Will Do: You will lead project teams and work collaboratively with matrix partners in support of complex, and often critical, cross functional sourcing and supply chain strategies and related business initiatives.
Achieve operational objectives by developing integrated project plans and schedules while creating plans in accordance with business objectives and target completion dates.
You will be in charge of managing assigned programs and process improvement initiatives to ensure optimum supply chain performance, both domestically and globally, including their associated alignments with company-wide sourcing and manufacturing strategies.
Drive Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) reduction, and work to identify incremental productivity in projects, in order to achieve the maximum benefit for Caterpillar Inc.
You will work closely with Operations, Manufacturing, Purchasing, Finance, and Engineering, in support of supply chain and/or manufacturing strategies.
Independently make decisions and drive execution of correct supply chain solutions.
Effective presentations and communications (written and verbal) to various levels of the organization.
What You Have (Basic Qualifications): Degree/Experience: bachelor’s degree in an engineering, technical or business curriculum OR varied experience in supply chain management, purchasing, engineering, New Product Introduction/Development, or operations.
Program Management: Track record of delivering impactful results on complex multi-disciplined projects, without direct supervisory authority.
Alignment: Strong aptitude for fostering alignment among diverse stakeholders towards common goals and objectives.
Cross-Team Integration: Proven ability to understand the importance of inter-team collaboration in breaking down silos and achieving business results; ability to lead employees from various functions to communicate, coordinate work across divisions, and collaborate in solving problems as one team.
Top Candidates Will Have : Experience with six sigma methodologies, Black Belt certification, or demonstrated lean process improvement experience to enhance operational excellence.
Knowledge of data gathering and analysis tools, techniques, and processes; ability to collect and synthesize data from a variety of stakeholders and sources in an objective manner to reach a conclusion, goal, or judgment.
Familiarity with heavy machinery or other similar industries, providing valuable context for immediate contribution.
Experience in systems such as Tableau, PowerBI, procurement systems, manufacturing management systems, and supply chain management systems.
Additional Info : Location: Peoria, IL 10-20% domestic and international travel is expected.
Domestic relocation is available to those who qualify.
