Safety is #1 at BTD: Our expectation is that every employee: 1) Strictly follows safety policies, rules and safe work methods.
2) Promptly corrects or reports safety hazards or unsafe conditions.
Promptly reports injuries for prompt diagnosis and treatment.
3) Makes regular suggestions for safety process improvements to support continuous improvement in safety.
Essential Functions: This position is responsible for the following tasks, duties and responsibilities: 1.
Create a work environment conducive to employee morale and motivation and the accomplishment of performance goals.
2.
Responsible for picking of all products for kitting, shipping, and OSS.
3.
Ensures all paperwork for the picking functions is generated and processed.
4.
Ensure daily cycle counts and required audits are completed to maintain inventory accuracy.
5.
Perform daily meetings with leads to ensure daily tasks are achieved.
6.
Provide daily feedback to warehouse manager on warehouse related issues.
7.
Ensures all employees are trained in all department functions.
8.
Participates in the hiring and termination of employees.
9.
Conduct employee evaluations for the department with the shift leads.
10.
Respond to all emails and phone calls daily.
11.
Other duties as required.
Leadership Responsibilities: 1.
Establishes performance standards, monitoring employee performance and focusing the Department’s attention to areas of opportunity to maximize performance.
2.
Maintains ethics and integrity congruent to the Company’s mission and values.
3.
Assists in the development of personnel through positive reinforcement and coaching techniques.
Responsibilities include hiring, planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and assuring problems are resolved; developing leadership in all people.
Education, Experience and Skills Required: High School Diploma plus 2 to 3 years of experience.
Recent mechanical and shop experience that includes the following skills and abilities would be beneficial.
1.
Strong working knowledge of warehouse activities.
2.
Experience with ERP/MRP systems.
3.
Ability to operate a forklift in a safe and effective manner.
4.
Some knowledge of the equipment, materials, methods and practices used in the production process.
5.
Some knowledge of related safety requirements to include proper use of safety equipment and proper safety precautions.
6.
Ability to understand and follow routine oral and written instructions.
7.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
8.
Must have average math skills and mechanical ability.
9.
Functional competency with Microsoft Office.
