This position is located in Wyoming, Illinois.
Job Description: Bo/Gar Enterprises is seeking an experienced Purchasing Manager for our Wyoming, IL location.
The purchasing manager directs and manages all purchasing responsibilities such as vendor maintenance, ordering material, vendor quality, and other purchasing-related activities.
Candidates must have extensive knowledge of steel conversions, cost reductions and economic ordering quantities.
Must maintain relations with all vendors and must understand how to identify a wide variety of materials and tooling.
This position would require background check & drug screen.
Ideal candidates will be motivated and quality driven.
Experience:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
Work Authorization: Required
Steel Conversions: minimum of 2 years preferred.
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Responsibilities:
Perform Vendor Audits.
Place purchase orders based on replenishment needs.
Accurately provide steel conversions and identifying material Specs.
Complete vendor visits and maintain vendor relationships.
Analyze, calculate, and monitor inventory levels on selected product lines.
Resolve problems, reconcile vendor returns and expedite order deliveries.
Collaborate with internal departments when vendor issues arise.
Complete assigned reports and special projects.
You should be proficient in:
Commodity Purchasing Experience
Basic Computer Skills
Customer Service
Machines & technologies you'll use:
Calipers and Micrometers
Salary info:
$25 - $35 / hr
