Overview of Position: As an Industrial Millwright at MMS, you’ll perform the installation, assembly, dismantling, repair, and maintenance of machinery, transferring equipment with full precision and according to layout plans, blueprints, and schematics.
This role is part of the MMS Mechanical Team based out of the Pekin, Illinois, office and will be assigned to various worksites.
Hours/Compensation: Full-Time, Primarily Day Shift, Monday - Friday The successful candidate may be asked to work weekends and overtime on a regular basis, hours will flex as business requires.
Starting wage range is $20-$32 per hour.
Starting wage offer will be based on candidate’s experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Additional Benefits Requirements: Desired Qualifications: To be seriously considered for this role, the successful candidate should have the following regarding: Experience: Minimum 3 years’ experience as a millwright or industrial maintenance technician Education: High school diploma (or equivalent), Industrial Trade Program or similar program is not required but would be strongly encouraged Skills: Successful candidates are proficient in installing new machinery/equipment and maintaining/troubleshooting machinery/equipment; can read, interpret, and follow blueprints and detailed drawings; can use hand tools, small, powered equipment (saws, drills, etc.
), and other shop equipment.
They should have the ability to diagnose and troubleshoot problems; analyze information and to make an informed decision based on that information; dentify root causes and corrective actions; adhere to all safety regulations and policies; and actively participate in job training opportunities for career development.
Understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics, pipefitting, and plumbing is also desired along with the ability to operate a forklift, man lift and carry deck crane.
Characteristics: This position is supervised; however, the successful candidate should have the ability to work independently or as part of a team while carrying out verbal and written instructions from supervisor.
Other requirements: Must have a valid state driver’s license, vehicle insurance and dependable vehicle.

Responsibilities: Under supervision you will be responsible for dismantling machinery, transferring equipment, interpreting blueprints, and installing equipment.
Activities include but are not limited to inserting shims, adjusting tension on nuts and bolts, or positioning parts, using hand tools and measuring instruments, to set specified clearances between moving and stationary parts; repairing / replacing gaskets, seals, hydraulic hoses, packing, bearings, gears, chains, and belts; aligning machines using hoists, jacks, hand tools, squares, and rules Physical Demands and Working Conditions: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands/fingers to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb, ascend/descend or balance to heights that may require a ladder or lift; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl in confined spaces; and talk or hear.
The employee is occasionally required to sit.
The employee must occasionally lift and/or move more than 50 pounds.
The employee is regularly required to use close vision and color vision.
The employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions and risk of electrical shock.
Work is typically performed in a factory environment and is usually very loud.
In the factory environment, the employee may be exposed to hazardous materials and/or greasy or slippery factory floors.
