Pay rate $18.
00 per hour
NOTE** This individual will typically work from 8:00am – 5:00pm, however, there will be times when support of events, productions, repairs, or upgrades take place outside of traditional business hours and this person will be required to work outside of normal hours.
Bradley University seeks an energetic and technically savvy individual for the Audiovisual Technician position within the IT Support Services division of Information Technology (IT).
The Audiovisual Technician is responsible for delivering audio/video operations for academic, administrative, and organizational events.
This individual provides AV technical support for classes and events, provides training, support, and consultation to faculty, staff, and students using audiovisual technology.
This person works collaboratively with the staff of Learning Design and Technology and the broader division of IT to support the daily operations and goals of the units and the strategic initiatives of the University.
Characteristic Duties and Responsibilities
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following.

Classroom Support – The Audiovisual Technician provides direct support for faculty, students, and administrative staff in their use of classroom technology.
This person responds to and troubleshoots technology problems in collaboration / meeting spaces and computer labs.
Live Event Support – The Audiovisual Technician operates equipment in support of live events and supports web conferencing.
Training – This individual provides technology training to faculty, staff, and students.
Technology Maintenance – This technician performs testing and preventative maintenance on audiovisual technology.
Work collaboratively with other Bradley IT staff to implement services and systems and participate on project teams, committees, and attend meetings as necessary.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
Two years of audiovisual experience.
Demonstrated relevant knowledge and technical experience in Audiovisual technology.
Proficient in using critical thinking skills to effectively troubleshoot and diagnose technology related issues.
Effective oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Demonstrated organizational skills, self-direction, and self-motivation.
Proficient in providing training or developing skills of others.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant instructional/information technology, broadcast, or multimedia discipline.
Demonstrated ability using IP video/web conference services such as Zoom and Meet.
Crestron, Q-Sys, or similar programming and installation experience.
Demonstrated experience in live audiovisual event support.
Proficient in directing a crew and applying appropriate technical knowledge in support of live audiovisual production.
Experience with Apple, Windows, and tablet devices.
Physical Requirements
Selected candidate must have the mental and physical capabilities to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
Ability to climb up and down ladders and steps.
Ability to obtain a minimum of 20/20 vision through the use of natural or corrective lenses.
Able to identify shades of color.
Able to distinguish between varying levels of sound.
Work is performed in a normal office environment with little exposure to outdoor temperatures or dirt and dust.
Working conditions are typically moderately quiet.
