Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee project estimates, ensuring accurate and timely completion of all estimates
- Review project plans, specifications, and other documents to determine project requirements
- Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to develop accurate cost estimates
- Negotiate pricing with suppliers to ensure competitive bids
- Prepare detailed cost estimates, including labor, materials, equipment costs
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in construction estimating
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree helpful but not mandatory
- Proven experience in construction estimating
- Strong knowledge of construction estimating principles, practices, and techniques
- Proficiency in using estimating software
- Excellent negotiation skills to secure competitive pricing from suppliers
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and other construction documents
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to accurately estimate project costs
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with project managers, suppliers
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in estimating costs
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
