Overview:
HVAC Mechanic will oversee off campus work.
Expected pay for this position is $26.
46 - $31.
13/hour.
Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity.
POSITION SUMMARY: The HVAC Mechanic II performs diagnostic tests, maintenance and repairs, replacements and installations of air conditioners, refrigeration equipment, heating, pneumatic, hydraulic equipment.
Maintains the building automation system by continual updates on the database.
Maintains major life safety equipment, including medical air compressors, purification equipment, medical vacuum pumps of various design, and medical gas transmission piping.
Qualifications:
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Completion of an HVAC training program
Other Licenses/Certifications: 1 HVAC-related trade certification
Experience: 3 years of experience in the installation and repair of refrigeration equipment, medical air, and pneumatic controlled compressors, vacuum pumps, thermostats, environmental controls, air handling equipment, and DDC controlled building automation systems.
Abillity to program and add new control points within the Building Automation System (BAS).
Demonstrated proficiency in utilizing CFM Flowhood to verify Room Air Exchanges, Pressure Relationships Practical experience punching Chiller Tubes during off season, AHU Coil Cleaning and Cooling Tower water processing fundamentals.
Demonstrated proficiency in utilizing compression type piping repairs other than brazing i.

Other skills/knowledge: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software.
Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented.
