Our team members choose to be part of the MMS team and stay with us throughout their careers! Overview of Position: As a Team Lead-Electrician – you’ll perform troubleshooting and repair of facilities and manufacturing equipment.
This is a mid-level / expert level position designed for those who have experience in industrial manufacturing maintenance (mechanical / electrical).
This role will lead a team of maintenance technicians to resolve both electrical and mechanical issues.
Previous supervisory experience is a plus.

Additional Benefits Location/Hours/Compensation: Bartonville, IL, Full-Time, 2nd Shift, Monday – Friday, Overtime as required The successful candidate may be asked to work weekends and overtime on a regular basis, hours will flex as business requires.
Starting wage offer will be based on candidate’s experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities Requirements: Desired Qualifications: To be seriously considered for this role, the successful candidate should have the following regarding: Experience: Up to 3 years in a similar role with comparable goals and responsibilities; supervisory experience Education: High school diploma (or equivalent), Industrial Maintenance Technician or similar program is not required but would be strongly encouraged Skills: Successful candidates have advanced mechanical and electrical skills.
You should have the ability to read and interpret schematics: electrical and instrumentation diagrams; to diagnose and troubleshoot problems; analyze information and to make an informed decision based on that information; identify root causes and corrective actions; adhere to all safety regulations and policies; and actively participate in job training opportunities for career development.
You must understand pneumatic and hydraulic principles and be familiar with all basic hand tools, multi-meter, and PLC hardware Characteristics: The successful candidate should have strong written and verbal communication skills as well as customer service mentality.
You must have the ability to work with minimum supervision in a team environment while carrying out verbal and written instructions from supervisor.

Responsibilities Maintenance Technician– performs advanced level break-fix & preventative maintenance.
This includes but is not limited to observing devises in operation to location root cause of problem; dismantling devices to gain access to and remove defective parts; examining parts to detect imperfections; adjustment of functional parts of devices and control instruments; repair and/or replacement of defective parts; testing of device to observe performance; and performing tests for electrical circuitry and mechanical systems; reconditioning and repairing machine tools.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for trouble shooting and program as well as any electrical repairs.
You will: Provide leadership to small teams and mentorship to lower-level technicians Perform advanced maintenance functions as part of training and development Prepare and submit daily maintenance reports containing information obtained during the shift such as: Safety Concerns and/or observations Maintenance Performed Procedures that went well / badly Summary of ongoing trends of facility assets (machines) Have responsibility/accountability for Any equipment requiring maintenance work Maintaining accurate parts use records All materials and tools used on the job or special projects Maintaining product integrity Company equipment Experience in any of the following will make you a stronger canidiate: Crane Inspection/Repair Electrical HVAC Pneumatic Hydraulic Welding Concrete Machine Repair Physical Demands and Working Conditions: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands/fingers to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb, ascend/descend or balance to heights that may require a ladder or lift; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl in confined spaces; and talk or hear.
The employee is occasionally required to sit.
The employee must occasionally lift and/or move more than 50 pounds.
The employee is regularly required to use close vision and color vision.
The employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions and risk of electrical shock.
Work is typically performed in a factory environment and is usually very loud.
In the factory environment, the employee may be exposed to hazardous materials and/or greasy or slippery factory floors.
