It’s More Than a Job, it’s a Career - YouTube Job Summary: Caterpillar has an opening for a Human Resources Generalist for the Track-Type Tractor manufacturing facility located in East Peoria, Illinois.
The site is home to Caterpillar’s iconic Track-Type Tractor product and has approximately 800 employees in production, support and management roles.
We have a fabulous team that does some of the most exciting work at Caterpillar, and we can’t wait for you to join the team! What you will do: Handle employee walk-up traffic on HR related questions and employee issues Conduct and provide guidance / counsel associated with employee issues Lead production new hire orientation Manage EEO/AA for facility Run and analyze reports for people related data Consult with operations on manpower needs and partner with Talent Acquisition to fill Assist with design, implementation and administration of HR policies Assist with employee engagement activities and events What skills you will have: Effective Communications and Employee Relations: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools, and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.
Knowledge of the rights and obligations in the employee relations; ability to adhere to legal requirements when handling employee negotiations.
HR: Policies, Standards and Procedures with Knowledge of Organization : Knowledge of human resource function; ability to uphold the organization's and industry's standards, procedures, and policies regarding human resources management.
Knowledge of the organization's vision, structure, culture, philosophy, operating principles, values, and code of ethics; ability to understand the value of aligning capabilities with business goals to support optimal performance.
Decision Making and Critical Thinking and Data Gathering and Reporting : Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.
Knowledge of tools, techniques, and processes for gathering and reporting data Education and experience requirement: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or similar field 2+ year experience in an HR role Additional Information: The primary location for this position is East Peoria, IL This position is required to be onsite 100% with flexible work hours Domestic relocation assistance is not available This position may require 10% travel Sponsorship is not available This posting will close at midnight on January 11, 2024 What you will get: Our goal at Caterpillar is for you to have a rewarding career.
