In this role as a Group Manager, you will report to the Director Manufacturing Operations and will be primarily responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of all shifts of the facility.
As a member of the Manufacturing Operations team, you will need to have a growth mindset, promote continuous improvement, and help build a defect-free culture.
We have a fabulous team that does some of the most exciting work at Caterpillar, and we can’t wait for you to join the team! What you will do: Managing staffing, development, and performance management programs for operations staff; managing, motivating, and developing management team.
Overseeing operations activities, ensuring that safety, and schedules and performance requirements are met and system resources are used effectively.
Driving improvements for overall operations performance and implementing production safety, cost, and quality control mechanisms.
Ensures the compliance of all regulatory guidelines and forges a safe and sound manufacturing environment.
What Skills you will have: Quality Management : Knowledge of quality management methods, tools, and techniques and ability to create and support an environment that meets the quality goals of the organization.
Analytical Thinking : Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems.
Planning and Organizing : Knowledge of the process of planning and arranging tasks and resources; ability to plan and organize both time and resources to get things completed while structuring and maintaining work in a systematic and highly methodical way.
Performance Management : Knowledge of successful performance management techniques; ability to apply organization's performance management system, practices, and tools to developing and improving individual, team, and organizational performance.
Manufacturing Operations : Knowledge of manufacturing operations; ability to perform day-to-day operations of a manufacturing plant or facility for products.
Manufacturing Safety : Knowledge of manufacturing safety; ability to identify work-related hazards and perform necessary activities to meet regulatory requirements for the safety and protection of workers, environment and site.
Manufacturing Standards, Procedures and Policies : Knowledge of organizational standards, procedures and policies in manufacturing activities; ability to plan, guide, and monitor manufacturing processes for compliance.
