We are looking for a dynamic, organized self-starter to join our Product Support and Logistics Division as an Operations IT Coordinator in Morton, IL.
The Product Support and Logistics Division (PSLD) is one of the most innovative divisions within Caterpillar.
In PSLD, as within all of Caterpillar, our priority is our customers and helping them build a better world.
We touch nearly every element of the services value stream from procurement to design and manufacturing to distribution.
PSLD is responsible for Aftermarket Parts Distribution of Cat Parts, Integrated Logistics, Segment Procurement and the design and manufacture of Wear Components (Undercarriage and GET) and Maintenance Components (Seals, Tubes & Hardware, Hose & Couplings, Fluids and Filters).

Learn more about the Caterpillar Experience Job Duties and Responsibilities May Include but are not limited to: Contributes to Shipped in Standard, Stored in Standard and Productivity metrics for the Morton facility.
Assigns parts bundles to Goods to Person stations within the Morton warehouse.
Controls and determines which stations parts bundles should be routed to in order to maximize parts distribution.
Ensures parts bundles are prioritized and assigned to proper stations based on station availability.
Uses Automated Warehouse Control System (AWCS) to determine which stations are open and ready to receive parts bundles.
Efficiently assigns work to stations to optimize availability of hourly associates The incumbent works as an interface between Operations and IT to ensure the system works properly.
Acts as liaison between the two groups to ensure efficient operation of the system and customer requirements.
Helps determine system requirements and functionality to assist IT in maintaining the system and ensuring operations objectives are achieved.
Monitors processes and helps determine if processes can be improved upon through experience with AWCS and operations procedures Typical internal customers include the position’s work group and immediate supervisor.
The position is challenged to quickly and correctly identify problems.
Resolves issues by following departmental guidelines or applying a solution that worked in the past.
Additional Information Potentially less than 5% travel This is a 2nd shift position Mon-Fri 3pm -11pm Basic Requirements Previous experience in material planning, supply chain, material handling, logistics, operations and/or SAP Core Application Systems : Knowledge of major production application systems used for delivery of services to internal and external clients; ability to leverage major production application systems in diverse situations.
Describes basic elements and benefits of core applications supported by own area.

Locates and uses relevant documentation for core applications.
Emerging Technologies: Knowledge of emerging technologies; ability to design, apply and evaluate new information technologies for business environments.

IT Environment: Knowledge of an organization's IT purposes and activities; ability to create an effective IT environment for business operations.
Names key IT departments, functions, and players.
Gathers information on key IT initiatives and projects.
Describes key activities performed by IT professionals and managers.
Identifies major roles and responsibilities of the IT function.
System and Technology Integration: Knowledge of the features and facilities of systems; ability to integrate and communicate among applications, databases and technology platforms.
Assists with current and planned integration initiatives.
Explores major issues and considerations for successful system integration.
Works with applications, data, technology bridges and a variety of platforms.
Works with existing interfaces as well as integration and migration plans within own area.
Plays an active role in local integration efforts.
Top Candidates Will Also Have AWCS and EWM College degree Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Thorough understanding of logistics operations procedures General product knowledge 6 Sigma or CPS process knowledge Morton Operations knowledge desired.
