Description Manages multiple or complex projects involving Product Regulatory and Compliance design control activities.
These engineering projects typically involve multiple functions, organizations, products, or value chains.
Job Duties Develops project scope to address business challenges, quality and other opportunities related to the design control (including, but not limited to decals/films, plates, badges and other messages and markings).
Develops and continuously improve approximately 40 1E Specs and Engineering Standards.
Coordinates resources across the business with marketing and brand, product development groups, engineering support, purchasing, supply chain, aftermarket and manufacturing.
Oversees project progress and costs; communicates status with stakeholders and participating functional areas; addresses and resolves problems.
Directing project staffing; motivate and develop project team and team members.

Basic Qualifications Requires a degree in an accredited Engineering, Computer Science, or Materials Science curriculum.
6 or more years of job-related work experience, including at least 2 years in one of the following areas (Caterpillar Design Control or Compliance or Films or Symbols or compliance / regulatory messages & markings).
6 Sigma project experience Top Candidates will also have Requires a self-starter with strong technical leadership skills and excellent analytical skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects.
Highly developed skills in project management, communication and customer relations are essential.
3-5 years first-hand experience with the product design and development process, including New Product Introduction and Continuous Product Improvement is required.
